Thought of the Day:
Once I was challenged by a collaborator about what I would do if my training goes wrong.
What if the audience did not agree to what I taught?
What if there is a problematic, trouble-making audience?
What if electricity goes off in the room?
And a thousand of "what if's".
The thing about training and also every aspect of our lives is that, things will go wrong when it is time for them to go wrong.
No matter how many backup plans. No matter prepared you are. No matter how good you can be.
When things go wrong.... it will go wrong. Full stop.
The important thing that separates, what I call the Professionals and Amateurs apart, is their confidence to make a decision without knowing whether it will go wrong or right. Embrace the outcome as it turns out to be and turn things around when it required to.
I think this is how life is.
It is about taking calculated risks.
Giving a shot.
Try something new.
Your confidence can ONLY be built by doing something you have never done before.
I can safely say that I do not fear what will happen in the room as I train people -
because I believe that I do not have to be right and know everything in order to become a Great Trainer.
I have seen expert trainers who send their audience to sleep!
So, what's the point of training a bunch of sleepy heads who can't even follow?
Just my thoughts about what confidence means.
